Western Jewlery- My new project

So I've started on a new project.. It started by me finding a necklace that my ex husbands friend gave me years and years ago.. I was up to Enterprise goin up to Dutchman's in my old Honda and was looking in the trunk for a flashlight and came apon a necklace that I forgot I had, well it was beaded and had a rowel in the middle.. Well I got this great idea for my Christmas presents for my friends to make a necklace and hang a rowel from it..
Well I went to Sunset Western to buy the rowels and was asking the lady at the counter what she thought matched the necklace I had already made best, and she fell in love with my idea and asked me if I'd sell them there.. So I called mom all excited and away it went.. I was a little busy at first so she ended up making quite a few and that got me started.. So all the ones she's made I dont have pictures of but these ones are mine and I've got a few done that I haven't gotten pictures of..

I already dropped some off at Sunset Western, they are all different colors and way cute.. I think they have 10 of them so far.. So drop by and see them.. They are really cute!!

I also have bracelets, I just don't have any pictures of those ones yet either..

This one I took the picture to send to mom before I added the rowel... But I hung it a little different, I put a chain thru the hole in the rowel and hung it that way.. Turned out way cute

New Year, New Decade.. 2010 Here I come

Wow what a year! Breakups, an accident, old friends, new friends.. So much happened in 2009 its weird where to start.. I truely found out last year who was really there for me when I needed someone..
This summer was probably one of the hardest I've ever gone thru with becoming single, and then a couple days later having my brother become paralayzed.. Friendships were tested and tried, and the true friends stuck right by my side thru it all, and I can't thank them enough. I got back to my old self again and I forgot how much I missed me =) But it was all for the best, I know I have made a lot of mistakes in my life, but am learning and growing from every wrong step I have taken, and had to redirect where I was headed.. A very good friend of mine told me back when I got divorced to "NEVER REGRET" Live and learn.. Thats what I'm doing.. And I LOVE it! I'm looking forward to this new year and new decade and see where it takes me.. I met some amazing new friends last year, and got back in touch with a couple very good old friends ;) I met back up with Shawn over the summer and am so happy that I did.. He's been there a lot for me over the last 7 years we've known eachother and I've had fun getting back to know him again.. Its always Go Go Go with him around and its been very interesting to say the least..
And along with Shawn came some amazing new friends, and some old.. I couldn't have gotten thru some things without Nikki right there with me letting me cry on her shoulder..
Coming back from Thanksgiving in Roosevelt this year I got home and went to Darrin and Nikki's with Shawn and the minute I walked in the door she grabbed me and hugged me to see how I handled things up north, and between a few tears shed with her and Shawn I made it thru.
Now Lance and his family have moved down here and I couldn't be happier! I wish that we could get Tavia down here, but know that probably wouldn't happen..
But starting out the year right I now have a brand new nephew named Boden Jode Wall that I can't wait to meet and spoil rotten =) Thats my job!! So I can't wait to see him.. And only have to wait a couple more months to have a brand new neice, the bean.. What a way to start a new year a neice and nephew.
I'm so grateful for all my friends and family that have done so much for me in 2009 and can't wait to make 2010 UNFORGETABLE! With them by my side I know I can achieve anything!

Ok so here we go again!
I can finally say it... Carson and Rochelle are having a lil bean!!! Lol.. Its a lil girl.. I never dared say it on the internet cuz I wasnt sure who all knew, but Cars said I could.. Cars calls her the lil alien and I call her the lil bean.. So I'm pretty excited.. I swear everyone I know and some I don't, but hear lots about are having babies.. Some are exciting, and another kinda scares me a lil bit.. LONG story!
So thats the news for Carson.. Everyone else I think is about the same.. Lance is in Vernal now playin with his kiddies, Havent talked to Tavia since they came down a few weeks ago.. That was fun spending time with them. They even came over to Shawn's and seen his deer horns and hung out for a second.. That was fun..
I'm still working away at both jobs and loving it.. Its nice being so busy.. Things got a lil boring a couple weeks ago cuz I got sick.. Yes I survived the swine flu.. A few of my friends got it.. It sucked.. I started feeling sick the day after Halloween when we were hauling cows Sunday, started coughing then the next day woke up and felt like I wanted to die.. Good times.. LOL So that was a very fun week... Then that next Saturday me and Shawnee drove down to watch Shawn and Brandon race their Legend cars... That was an experience... Shawn's shown me video's of Brandon and Brecken racing on Youtube and it looked like a blast.. I remember back a couple years ago he invited me a couple times and I didnt think it would be very fun so I kinda bailed.. Whoops! So I finally got my turn to go.. So we get all dressed up and head down to Vegas.. Singing very loudly on the way down btw.. We seen Shawn for a lil bit before we went and sat down and watched the other races before the boys.. Brecken was suppose to be in a top ten legend race but his car broke and he had to race the back up, so none of the boys raced until the main legend event.. There were 4 Snow boys all together racing.. Brandon and Shawn who are brothers.. And JK and Brecken they are Shawns cousins and they are brothers.. So kind of cool.. So all along before the race me and Shawnee are txting friends and family and telling them how we were nervous for them and everything.. So their race starts and we're all exciting pointing out each guy, there were a few restarts and then I look up and see Shawn had spun out on the track and right as I'm freakin out that someone's gonna hit him here comes Brandon and he smashed into Shawn.. And then another car hit Shawn after that and sent him flyin down the track and into the wall.. Brandon's car actually shot a couple flames, but he got out and they put him in the ambulance and on oxygen and took him off.. While the safety crew was trying to get out Shawn.. He was hit on both sides so his doors wouldn't open so he climbed thru the window and got into the safetty truck and they took him.. So me and Shawnee flip and call our moms freakin out and waiting for the boys to call or txt us.. Shawn finally txt me so I called him and he said he thought he broke his foot.. We couldn't go back into the pit, so we just waited by the front gate for someone to tell us what was going on when Brandon came and snuck us back.. Shawn's dad was looking at his foot, the impact of the crash actually split a line between his big toe and next one that was pretty deep so he knew he needed stitches.. So after sitting around and talking him into going to the hospital us four(Shawnee, Brandon, me and Shawn) jumped in the car and headed back to St. George to take Shawn to the Emergency Room.. We figured that would be better than trying to go to one in Vegas.. So we get there and they take X-rays and luckily Shawn didnt break anything.. Just smashed everything pretty good and needed a few stitches.. Brandon only bumped his knee pretty good but didn't need to be seen. So after a bad crash, a trip to the emergency room, and walmart for crutches, cuz Shawn wouldn't get the ones from the ER, we had a pretty exciting trip to the races.. Lets hope the next one I go to ends a lil less exciting.. But after they hauled Shawn and Brandon's car off the track the race ended in Brecken getting second. So Shawns been hobbeling around for a week, he only used the crutches Sunday then gave up on them..
Thats been pretty much my excitment for the last couple weeks.. The last week and a half has been pretty boring thank heavens..
I went to move cows on Saturday with dad all day and that was fun. We moved where we use to run our cows so it brought back a lot of good memories and I'm glad I got to go.. Dad told the Evan's that when they move to Modena they need to go on a Saturday so I can go again.. And I think Carson wants to go too, so hopefully they do.
Well I think thats about it.. Just been taking care of a sore foot and havin fun.. Other than the foot things have been going extremely good.. I have some amazing people in my life and am grateful.. There are some exciting times ahead..

Happy Halloween

Wow so maybe I ought to get on here huh? Lots of new things have been happening since I've been on here..
To start out Lance is officially back in Utah.. They came home from Denver this weekend and are with their family now.. I'm sad that we didnt get to go up there and meet them, but there wasn't anything that we could of done.. We are having Thanksgiving up there so thats exciting.. He's been working really hard in Denver from what Keele and my dad was saying... He can get from his chair to his PT bed now on his own, Keele sent me a picture of it after he did it, so that was exciting! He's gone to a couple Bronco's games, a Rockies game, and an Avalance game.. And said they were all really fun. He's been fishing quite a few times and got to take the kids when they were out there to see him, they all caught quite a few fish and he sent me pictures of all the kids with their fish. Kyler caught one that was about as big as him, I was surprised. Then dad got to go out and see him for almost a week, and told us all about that.. Tavia got to go with him out there, so thats good they got to spend some time with him..
I'm still at the resturant during the mornings, and then in the afternoons I'm an assistant for an Remax agent in Hurricane, so I head over there at 1. Its been nice, I'm learning a lot and this has only been my first week. I like it a lot!
Since its all the hunts lately, I've stayed pretty busy scouting with Nikki, or cutting up deer with shawn.. He had 3 deer crammed in his fridge last week, his moms, brothers, and his.. So its been a long week cutting all that up and packaging it.. Its definately been fun tho.. His whole deep freeze is full of meat and deer heads.. Lol.. Kinda freaks people out when he pulls one out..
But its been nice cuz the boys cut up the meat, and me and Nikki package it so it goes by pretty fast.. So thats where I spend the majority of my time is with those guys.. Its been fun..
This is my very last Saturday here as a receptionist and Remax and 2 can't come fast enough.. I'm ready to have my saturdays to myself again, I've missed too many things...
Other than that life is just about the same.. Just enjoying life.. Things couldnt't be better..
I have an amazing family that I love with all my heart. And appreciate all that they do for me.. I love my parents so much, they are always there for me.. Its been so fun being able to work upstairs from my mom for a couple weeks, and now I just get to send her all of our work.. She even gets dumb little notes from me. Its fun that I can share work with her, since I never thought I would.. And having my dad come help at the resturant has been awesome.. He's more like a friend than a dad, and I love him.. And then I have my siblings.. These past few months I feel like I've gotten a lot closer to Lance and Tavia and am so grateful! I love them so much.. Then there's Carson.. We've had our ups and downs but I couldnt ask for a better brother.. I'm pretty lucky!
I have incredible friends, love me even when I blurt out some stupid comment or run into something. I know I can be myself around them.. Especially Shawnee and Nikki..
Shawnee has been there for me for a long time and is pretty much my sister.. I have some amazing times with her and owe her a lot.
And then Nikki.. My favorite cousin ever, and shes only my 2nd! She thought I was just some chick brought up to the ranch that she wouldn't like and then we find out we're family.. She sticks up for me no matter what and always has my back.. We are so much alike.. I guess its us Gubler girls.. Grandma would be so proud!
I dont know how I got so lucky to have the people in my life that I do, and I wouldnt change one of them for the world..
I've learned that no matter who walks in and out of your life, the ones that truely matter are always by your side and will never leave you.. And for the past 2 years and a couple months, I've had quite a few walk in and out and some have mattered more than the others.. But the ones that stayed around I know I'll have forever♥

So this weekend has been a little bit rocky I'd say.. I found out yesterday that a friend of mine was in an accident when he was working.. He digs wells, and i guess a piece of the drain pipe (i think?) or something fell on him, so they life flighted him up to university hospital. He broke his back, and i think it like gauged into his head.. I've known him for years and he has helped me get thru some rough patches.. So yesterday was kinda hard.. All i heard was clay's been in an accident and been life flighted and I flipped out.. First thing that popped into my head was lance.. And when I first heard, they were saying that they were more worried about his head injury than his back, but I talked to someone else and they said his head will be fine, and he was going into surgery last nite.. Not something you really wanna hear about an old friend.. I've had enuff friends pass away, and get in bad accidents and I'm thinkin it needs to stop.. LOL.. But from what I heard Clay's going to be ok.. I'm sure its a big stress on his wife, cuz they have a little baby.. Sad..
Well about lance.. I havent heard too much, they had a conference call with the doctors a few days ago, but I couldnt tell a word they were saying.. It kept fading in and out.. So I just hung up.. But I guess he's still having problems with his blood pressure.. My mom said he got to go out on an outing yesterday so he went bowling.. And I think the kids are out there with him.. But not sure.. I've been so busy lately that I havent even gotten to call them and see how they are doing.. So how are you Makayla? Miss you guys! I'm thinking that my dad is going to fly out to Denver right after the hay is done, cuz he misses Lance.. This is the longest he's gone not seeing him since the accident so thats rough.. I cant wait till I get to see him.. It will be when hes done in denver, which I'm not sure when that will be.. But I cant wait..
As for Tav.. Shes having a baby.. A Boy.. and Yes I guessed it back a while again, dang I'm good =).. I cant wait.. I'm sure Jode is excited..Finally getting us some boys in the family.. Before lance got married all we had was girls..
Carson and Rochelle are still working hard with the resturant.. Its been kinda of a weird proces.. It will get really busy for a week or so then die... So we've been taking coupons out to the college... Gives me a chance to go flirt with all the college guys, that are WAY too young for me.. LOL but oh well its fun! =)
Mom and Dad are doing good.. Dad's on his last crop right now, just waiting to cut and get it bailed and hauled so he can get to Denver, and mom's just working away and SUTICO.. I go up there quite a bit during the week and will more now that the muzzle loader is coming up.. I'll be up at deer camps will all my friends.. I love hunting season... I've been up to dutchmans the past little while hanging out.. Went up last weekend and hung out with everyone up there, then went up this week and realized the girl that was up there is my cousin.. ha ha small world! My grandma and hers are sisters, so we had a nice lil chat.. =) I love her to death, and she says I'll be going up there even more.. Dont bug me one big ;) Especially cuz a good friend of mine is usually up there =) That makes it all the better.. lol
Well I think thats about it lately.. Just been hanging out and having fun.. I'm always out somewhere having a blast and LOVE it!

Lovin life

Ok so havent been on here for a while.. So I figured I'd get on and tell everyone whats been going on.. Saw Lance on Tuesday and Wednesday.. They sent him to Denver to Craig hospital.. Which it sucks that I cant see him till hes back home.. But its the best place for him.. So I'm happy.. I'm not sure how long he's gonna be there.. When we were up there with him, I got to give him a hair cut.. Which wasnt the easiest, but I'm glad he let me do it.. They just put him in his chair and dad held him up so i could do the back then he layed back down while I did the rest.. We were in a bit of a hurry, so I'm sure it wasnt the best hair cut.. And the fact that I was scared to death of hurting the back where his incision was didnt help either.. I also trimmed up his goatee, and mustache.. Another first for me..
But I cant believe the progress hes making.. Its crazy from the last time I saw him.. He's getting the use of his hands back.. He was picking up popcorn and eating it, and he couldnt do that before, and also had a box of candy he would pour out in his hands.. He cant move individual fingers yet, but I'm sure he will get there with his attitude.. He works on them everyday.. He also was able to sit completely up in his wheelchair, which I didnt know he hadn't done.. We got to watch him in physical therapy try to get from his chair to a bed there.. It was hard for me not to just go pick him up and sit him down.. But I know it will come easier with practice.. They say they can't believe how strong his arms are.. Little did they know how much he hunts and packs out big elk out of the mountains huh? It was so good to see him before he left.. I did really good till dad leaned down to hug him to say goodbye and I lost it for a minute, but thats it.. I'm gettin good huh?
Well lets give an update about me since I havent for a while.. I cant believe how good things have been going.. I still cant think straight since his accident.. Everything kinda runs together I guess.. But I've been more busy with friends and other things, than I have in a long time.. Its been fun.. And I've also been able to get back with my friends I havent really talked to for the past couple years.. I cant believe how much I missed all of them.. So thats been great.. I really don't remember when I've been this happy and carefree.. It was much needed.. I stress about everything under the sun(wonder where that comes from?? mom?? ha ha) but other than kinda wanting to know everything about Lance and stressing about him leaving I havent worried about things really lately.. Its been so nice. Next week is the cornfest, and after I get off work at Remax I cant wait to get up there and see everyone.. Then I'm headed to the Beryl Bean Bake Off!! Ha ha good times in Beryl.. It will be fun to see everyone there.. But thats pretty much it I guess... Just been enjoying life to the fullest!

Another update

Here's Lance with his youngest girl Kaitlyn... She had no fear, shed get up on him and take off his oxygen mask and give him kisses.. Shes so cute
Lance entered a shooting contest the day before the accident, and won.. So Friday they came and presented him with the scope he won.. So Saturday dad had to get it out and let lance mess around with it a little bit.. In his new room they had to position the bed just right so they could see out the window and up on the mountain... He said he could be able to count the scratches on the horns with that thing.. It was good to see the same ol Lance come out
So I got to go up there again last weekend, but not this one and man I'm struggling.. My parents left to go up there today, and its been a rough day... My dad came home with us Sunday and then went back up today for my cousins wedding and to be with him.. I didnt think I would have a hard time, but I was wrong.. Its all I can think about.. So I'm trying to keep my mind off it.. And I've had no problem finding ways to do that.. =)

But he got moved out of ICU last Friday, into the Nerological Care Unit.. Which means bigger room, and we can all fit... When me and my mom got up there Friday night, Tavia and Jode were there too.. So we sat in there and talked, and I got harrassed by Jode.. Ha ha.. He thinks he's pretty funny.. And then went out to dinner with them.. It was good to see both of them.. Last time I saw Tav we were both havin a hard time.. So this time was way better.. Lance got a couple of hand held games like solitare, and yatzee and everyone was trying to show Tav how to play and Lance told me to wheel his bed over so he could watch, so we kinda did, and hes all
well this is dumb, I thought you were playin the actual game.. He wasnt very impressed.. Then the nurse came in to ask him what he wanted to eat.. And said pudding, apple sauce, jello.. And lance says DID YOU JUST ASK ME IF I WANTED TO EAT JODE???? Ha ha we all about died.. Pretty sure he didnt quite hear JELLO... So we told him that Jode probably isnt as good as jello, but then they brought in this chewy jello and we all took that back.. ha...

Then we went over there saturday and sat there, and his nurse was korean, or chinese?? I dont know she just couldnt speak very good english and she said something and Lance yells "what are you saying about a bartender??" I wish I could remember what she really did say... It was pretty funny... Then we got out the scope Lance won and messed around with that a little while, before we got to go get the girls.. Since they are minors I got to go past security and get them when they come off the plane.. I was standing right by the door waiting.. They had to be the last ones off... When I saw them walking down the ramp I started waving, and they just stared at me like I was crazy.. Till they figured out who I was.. But it was so good to spend some time with them... We went over there for a little while Sunday but there was so many people in there, we didnt stay too long.. But it was good to be with him again.. We talked about whats goin on in my life, and he asked for one of my cd's so I think my dad is taking one up.. He's still not feeling much, but started physical therapy yesterday... He called my mom to wish her a happy birthday and told her it was a rough day and he was pretty sore, but they put him in his wheelchair and he got to go outside.. So I know what I'm doin next time I go up.. Hes kinda getting his fine motor skills in his hands back... He had his hat there and had it on and was adjusting the brim of it, and he can put his oxygen mask on and off, but not using his fingers just his fist... But that should come back with therapy.. I can't believe how much better he gets everytime I see him.. It amazes me.. We got to take the sacrament again on Sunday and this time my parents were there, and they also have a service thats like 30 minutes we went to for a lil bit when he got his bath.. Its pretty neat... Well thats about it about Lance.. I'm starting a new somewhat job helpin my friend out at his diesel shop a couple hours a week to make up for the saturdays I've missed at Remax so thats been letting me go up and see him which is nice... So I go in tomorrow.. Other than that same ol life.. I've been up to Enterprise a lot seein friends I havent gotten to in a while, so thats been really nice.. I miss it up there... I forgot how much I loved it when I moved down here, I wish I could have my old house back.. I've had some good times in that house.. That was the best a couple years ago to come home and go hang out with all my friends up there, and not worry about driving or anything..

But thats about it for now... I wont be able to go see Lance this weekend or the next... My dad has to talk in church next sunday.. lol... But I will make sure I'm up the next... I hate not seeing him... Its funny because I've gone years without seeing him and then this happens and it makes you realize you have to enjoy every minute.. So its been nice seeing Lance and Tavia quite a bit.. It sucks they live so far away...
