Here we are again

So I made it to the Showdown on the 4th at the Sunbowl.. Yahoo.. The prelims were very interesting to say the least, but o well.. I cant wait.. I was hoping to have more of my family there, my uncle was going to try to be there from California but couldnt make it.. And my sister was going to try and come but cant.. But I know I will still have people there that I love.. I cant wait.. I'm learning my songs and am going to be ready..
Other than that its about the same, still looking for a full time job, I love the resturant but need full time.. One of these days something will come around.. Its starting to get hard to still be hopeful.. I really need something to get me out of debt faster, but just cant find anything.. And when I feel like something is looking up it falls thru.. Funny how people that are really trying cant get a job, but then other people that really could care less find one in a heartbeat.. Tell me how thats fair? Drives me nuts... O well
I'm starting to learn who in my life is really there for me, and whos not thats for sure.. Far too many times I've found I have a lot of fake people in my life, and I'm seeing that again, only this time I just laugh.. Its starting to just get kinda funny.. So right now I'm just trying to take one day at a time and get thru them... Some are easier than others and some I still really struggle with, but I guess its the struggles that get us to each happy moment... And sometimes a good cry is what we all need..
My neices are coming down for a week, and I cant wait.. They are so cute, and I dont get to see them enough.. So this week will be fun with them around.. I hope that Lance's 2 girls will be able to come down for a few days also..
Well thats about it for now.. I will let you know how the 4th goes.. I'm sure I will get some pictures posted up also.

Showdown

So I made it past the first round of the showdown... They called me last monday and told me that I will be singing at the prelims on Monday the 22nd at the Elks lodge... I'm excited.. Mika made it too, so I'm excited she will be there to help me!!!
I have my songs picked out and have been practicing and feeling good about them until yesterday... I have been feeling popping in my ears and some pressure, and have talked to the doctor a few times and they just said it was fluid, got me some nose spray and away I went... But after the spray was gone it has come back, slight at first, but it hit hard yesterday... I woke up with the worst pressure in my ears and I could feel them and now my nose draining, and to top it off my throat had a tickle... So I called the doctor and got more nose spray and he told me to start on a decongestant.. And today my throat is even more scratchy... So I'm taking vitamin c every hour, benedryl, when im not at work, a decongestant, plus the nose spray, and probably going to start drinking lemon water with honey.. There is no way I'm going to sing Monday sick, so I'm doing everything I can to knock it out of me... Its kinda funny cuz I swear everytime I know I'm going to sing somewhere important I get sick.. O well... haha.. So hopefully its gone by Monday... Cross your fingers..
But I'm way excited to sing.. I have a ton of people helping me with song choices and everything, so I feel good about it! I hope everyone can come out and watch... I think its going to be really fun, just to hear all the talented people we have here in southern utah.. I'm excited to get to know them... I will keep you updated how monday goes, I'm sure next saturday when I'm working at Remax again!

Hello All

Here I am again... It a slow day at Remax so I figured I'd blog a little bit.. There really hasnt been anything too exciting happen since the last post, but oh well right...
Well I got another epidural in my neck thursday, still hurts like a bugger, but I can tell a HUGE difference in how my neck is starting to loosen up.. So I will have to deal with the pain cuz they really are worth it.. Hopefully this was my last one in a while, but we'll see...
I got my cd handed in yesterday (very last day to hand it in for the showdown.. whos a procrastinater? Yup that'd be me..) But its in.. So thats good.. I'm not really gonna get my hopes up this year about making it very far.. So we'll see if I even get a call back..
Things with work are doin really well... I'm still at Remax and the resturant, but looking for something full time during the week.. I love working with Carson and Rochelle, I just need something a lil more...
And I finally started physical therapy... hooray! So hopefully I get done with that and can get back into school soon.. I will have to do nite school so I can get a full time job, but thats ok. As long as I'm back and trying to get done with it.
The diet is going really well.. I havent been feeling very well since the epidural and my infusion Wednesday, so I've only been doin sit ups, but I do them forever every nite, and I'm definately sore from them... I just have to remind myself that when I weigh the next morning that I'm gainin muscle cuz I'm not droppin the pounds like I'd like to, but I'm almost in all of my old pants I've had forever, so I know I'm getting results..
Other than that, nothing else is really new... Me and Jordan have just been hangin out watching the finals.. GO MAGIC!!!! =)
I really couldnt ask for a better guy in my life, he takes such good care of me... Hes at every doctors appointment, holding my hand when I get stuck with needles, how he can watch is beyond me.. But hes there.. And I thank my Heavenly Father for him every nite... Hes amazing and I couldnt ask for anyone better... I love you babe.. Forever and Ever!!
Well this is a long and boring post.. I lead such an exciting life huh??

SuMmEr FuN!!

Wow I cant believe how warm its gotten.. whew!! With trying to stay cool in this hot weather me and Jordan have been going down to the virgin river, whether its just to swim at a spot that he found with his parents or to skim board with his new board he got... I actually have given it a try and even tho I'm horrible its pretty fun... I really enjoy it a lot...

Been forever

Ok so it's been a long time since I've blogged... Nothing all that exciting has happened lately tho.. I started a new job working Saturdays at Remax and today is my first day all alone.. kinda scary but not bad at all...
I'm finally on my diet... I started this week and after a few gliches getting the diet down I can see results.. I'm losing inches fast... I'm fitting into clothes I havent been able to in a while... I run a mile every day and do Pilates.. And I can feel a huge improvement.. So it wont be too long before I'm back to being bathing suit ready... Thank heavens...
I'm still at the resturant Monday thru Friday... Try working there while on a diet.. LOL.. not fun!But its not been too bad..
I'm still planning on doing the showdown... I just need to make it up to Salt Lake to make my CD.. So gotta work on that.. But it will still be fun.. I know that Mika is doin it this year so that makes it fun for me.
Well thats about it in my very exciting life.. not so much...
If something else comes up I'll let ya know!

So I won tickets on the radio to Lee Brice and Heidi Newfield at the Clark County Fair in Logandale... Me and Jordan drove down after work thursday and hung out at the fair and went to the concert.. SO I GET THE OPPERTUNITY TO SING FOR THE ST. GEORGE BLITZ FOOTBALL TEAM ON APRIL 11TH AT 7:00. I SING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM AND THEN SING AT HALF TIME AND AM WAY EXCITED!!! FROM WHAT IVE HEARD THEY ARE GETTING PRETTY BIG SO IT WILL BE A REALLY GOOD OPPERTUNITY FOR ME... EVERYONE NEEDS TO COME OUT AND WATCH... I WILL HAVE MY WHOLE FAMILY THERE MINUS MY SISTER AND HER LIL FAM.. WHICH IS SAD... BUT LANCE AND HIS WHOLE FAMILY ARE COMING FOR EASTER, SO I'M GLAD THEY ALL GET TO COME AND WATCH!

AND ALSO I START WORKING FOR CARSON'S RESTURANT "THE GRINGO GRILL" MONDAY... WE ARE GETTING EVERYTHING SET UP AND THEN OPEN I THINK FOR SURE TUESDAY... EVERYONE NEEDS TO COME OUT AND TRY THE FOOD... ROCHELLE IS AN AMAZING COOK SO I'M EXCITED... I THINK IT WILL DO REALLY WELL!

HOPE EVERYONE HAD A GOOD APRIL FOOL'S DAY... I DID MY SHARE OF PRANKS! TOLD MY PARENTS I HAD TO HAVE SURGERY AGAIN, AND CARSON I LOST GIDGET AND ASKED HIM TO COME FIND HER WITH ME.. LOL =)... BUT CARSON GOT ME BACK SAYING THAT I HAD TO WORK SATURDAY CUZ MY WHOLE FAMILY (COUSINS AND ALL) ARE COMIN TO EAT SATURDAY AND HE SAID HE NEEDED ME WHEN I SANG... I COULDNT TELL IF HE WAS SERIOUS OR NOT.. SO IT KINDA UPSET ME A LIL.. BUT IT WAS JUST ANOTHER JOKE...
